Request data deletion
RemoteGymp Support is provided by RemoteGymp Ltd. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data, or Android device data, without reinstalling the app or signing in.
Send your request
Email [email protected] with the subject “RemoteGymp data deletion request”. Include your account email, if you have one, the managing organisation, and the device name or approximate support-session date if known. Tell us whether you want to delete your account and its data, or only particular device data.
Do not send passwords, support codes, device tokens or identity documents in your initial email. We will verify the request using the minimum information needed and coordinate with the managing organisation where it controls the data. We aim to complete verified requests within 30 days. If a lawful exception or extension applies, we will explain it.
What deletion covers
Following verification, we delete applicable support-chat content, location records, device facts, identifiers and session history associated with the request. Account deletion also covers associated account data, subject to necessary legal, billing and security exceptions. We explain any retained categories, their purpose and retention period in our response.
End support access
Unenrolling ends future device access; it is separate from deleting historical records. You can ask your managing organisation or contact us to revoke device access immediately. Uninstalling the app or revoking location permission does not erase records already held.
Standard retention targets
- Support-chat messages: 30 days.
- Completed session history: 90 days.
- Security and administrative audit records: 12 months.
- Raw diagnostics: 30 days for transient errors and 90 days for other errors.
- Location history: 30 days.
These are our approved default targets. Automated cleanup is being rolled out; verified deletion requests can be made now. A customer contract or legal obligation may require a different period, which we will explain where relevant. Customers operate their own self-hosted installations.
Backups and Google Firebase
Deleted data expires from protected backups on their normal rotation and is not used in routine service. Our backup-retention target is 30 days; the actual schedule must be verified before we promise that limit. If a backup is restored, completed deletion requests must be reapplied before normal service resumes.
RemoteGymp uses Firebase Cloud Messaging for Android support notifications. Where applicable, we request deletion of the Firebase installation data as part of device cleanup. Google states that associated data can take up to 180 days to leave its live and backup systems.Firebase deletion information.
